In the Country - Denim dress, tennis shoes

Cucù! Eccomi qua, dopo una lunga assenza/presenza col contagocce dovuta a, in successione: mega-trasloco da Bologna alla campagna umbra, 2 operazioni all'anca della mamma in tempi ristretti (una gamba in aprile l'altra in giugno), e soprattutto, ora che le acque si sono calmate e le cose sono quasi sistemate, una linea adsl farlocca che salta continuamente - e non permette di stare online! Ecco spiegata la mia assenza o presenza a spizzichi e bocconi e la difficoltà nel completare un post (caricare foto con connessioni lente è praticamente impossibile.. anche per questo semplice post ho fatto una fatica bestia).
Vi assicuro che però durante questo periodo ho nel frattempo continuato a vestirmi tutti i giorni lo stesso, eheh, con vestitini, gonne, magliette camicette e.. jeans! Eh già, per i giorni del faticoso trasloco e il su-giù Bologna/Umbria ho tirato fuori dei vecchi jeans straight che ho messo in continuazione assieme alle nuove scarpette da tennis rosse - le ho prese da poco e le sto consumando a furia di indossarle, tanto sono comode - e tanto il brutto tempo atmosferico che c'è stato di recente non ha aiutato, pochi sandaletti, poche zeppette, niente ballerine, tante scapette chiuse come queste o le vecchie care Superga. Cosa vogliam farci? Speriamo che l'estate sia finalmente arrivata e che stavolta voglia farci compagnia per un po'... (no, eh?)

Ahoy! Here I am after long time, and this absence was due to: moving from the town of Bologna to the country in Umbria, 2 surgeries that my mom had at the hips in a short term of time (the first in april and the second in june), and last but not least, a super sloooooooow adsl connection that took me away from the internet! And so that's it, I was never online or I was here at starts and stops, never able to complete a post... I assure you that in the mean time I dressed up every day, lol, with dresses, skirts, tops, blouses and... jeans! Yeah, for the moving I digged out of the boxes an old pair of straight leg jeans I worn together with this new pair of red tennis shoes I am ruining on overwearing! They are so comfy and just right in this silly bad weather days we just had, a few days for sandals, wedges, no ballet flats at all and lots of tennis shoes. Well, I hope the time has come and Summer has finally arrived and it's now here to stay!

Ah ah, ci avete creduto eh? Questa foto è del 30 Maggio dell'anno scorso, una delle ultime fatte nel cortile del mio ex palazzo. Ero fuori con i mici... Notare che i leggings li avevo messi più per praticità che per reale bisogno, che si stava da dio. Eravamo completamente immersi nel principio del trasloco, iniziando ad impacchettare scatoloni... Corri di qua e di là, le foto le ho fatte durante una pausa, ma chi aveva tempo per il blog, l'anno scorso?

Ah ah, did you believe it? This pic is from 30th of May last year, one of the last pics I shot in my ex-apartment's building backyard. I was out and about with my cats... And please note that the leggings were there most for a practical purpose than a real need, since it was a wonderful sunny day. We were totally into starting packing boxes for our moving, running here and there.. I shot these pics in a pause, but I didn't had any time for my blog, last year.

Denim dress bon-ton-ized

I admit it, since I bought this denim dress I have been wearing it no stop! It looks like I was left with only one dress in my closet, but when I fall in love for something I do this all the time. :D
And then it's so comfy, casual yet pretty, and it goes with everything... En plus this silly weather is calling for layers, and this denim shirt dress is quite basic and nice to play with adding colors and layers. Yep, it was a good buy, expecially because I got it for half the price. I love shirt dresses, I can't get enough of it, and since thisone is blue and denim I know I am going to use it for many times to come. Since it is a blue dress after all! and I love blue dresses.
Here I have been trying to pair it with less casual, more colorful things, and a timeless trench coat and mary janes for a classic yet quirky style. What do you think? Does it work?

Lo ammetto, da quando ho comprato questo vestitino non riesco più a togliermelo! Sembra quasi che abbia solo questo nell'armadio, ma quando mi innamoro di qualcosa va sempre a finire che faccio così! :D
E poi è così comodo, casual ma carino allo stesso tempo, e sta bene con tutto... In più questo tempo così variabile chiama vari strati, e questo abito basic è adatto a giocare con le forme e i colori. Sì, è stato un ottimo acquisto, e in più l'ho preso a metà prezzo (ovvero 19.95€). Amo gli abiti chemisier, e col fatto che è blu e in denim lo so, lo metterò ancora e ancora... e ancora!
Perchè in fondo è un vestitino blu! e amo i vestitini blu :)
Qui ho provato a vedere come stava con delle cosine un po' meno casual, con un po' di colore qua e là, più il trench beige e le mary janes per renderlo più bon ton. Che ne dite? Esperimento riuscito?

Denim Dresses (so 90s)

I vestitini di jeans mi sono sempre piaciuti, basta dire che ne avevo uno (ma ce l'ho ancora, in fondo all'armadio) blu scuro con le spalline sottili che mettevo spessissimo durante la bella stagione. Negli anni 90 ho anche avuto un vestito lungo in jeans - ovviamente con i bottoni davanti - che mettevo continuamente. Visto il revival, è forse tempo di tirarlo fuori dagli scatoloni? Questo ed altre chicche dimenticate.. Non avete idea di quanto fossi alla moda, da brava adolescente di allora! Avevo un sacco di cose carine - cose che vedo di nuovo nei negozi... Portavo anche la salopette, e ne avevo ben due corte a righe! :P
Non ho mai avuto, invece, un abito-salopette corto in jeans, anche se mi piaceva molto l'idea, mi sono sempre sembrati troppo giovanili, persino quando ero più giovane! Però trovo che siano carinissimi.. :)
Ho notato che se ne trovano di nuovo molti in giro, ci sono diverse proposte più o meno in tutti i negozi, e la scelta è ampia. Devono essere tornati di moda! perché la moda gira e rigira, e torna ciclicamente. Per questo non bisogna buttare via niente (soprattutto le cose belle) ma piuttosto riciclare, regalare, rivendere, rimettere in circolo!
E riecco il denim sotto forma di vestitini estivi, carini e portabilissimi, casual nonchè comodi! 
Lunga vita ai vestiti in jeans!

I always liked denim dresses, I'd just tell ya I had one (and I still have it, just in the back of my closet) in a deep blue with spaghetti straps that I was costantly reaching to wear during summer season. And previously, in the 90s, I had a maxi dress in denim - with buttons on the front of course - that I was costantly wearing as well. Time to get those out of the boxes? You have no idea on how fashionable and trendy I was back then as a 90s teen, lol! I had tons of pretty things - which I see again in the shops... I even had dungarees overalls, and a couple of playsuits in striped print! :P
I never had a short denim pinafore dress though, I always thought they are for the youngsters, and even when I was young I thought the same! I still think they are way cute, though. :)
I noticed that denim is huge this year and not just in the shape of jeans or shirts, but there's quite a lot of denim out there, just like in the 90s. It might be back in fashion, I  guess! As fashion turns around and always gets back to the start. That's why you should never throw away any garnments! At least the ones you loved. Better recycling, sell, give away!
And so here's denim in shape of summer dresses, very pretty and versatile, casual, handy and comfortable. Much love for denim dresses!

La Redoute

Molto carino questo modello di La Redoute, adatto ad una giornata estiva, ma si presta anche al layering autunnale con una maglietta sotto. Mi piacciono molto i dettagli: le tascone, la cintura e i bottoni davanti. La balza in pizzo sangallo è dovuta a una sottogonna, ma è un'idea da copiare. Davvero carino!

This dress from La Redoute is such a cutie, perfect for a summer day, but it's going to be perfect for fall layering too. I really love its details: the pockets, the belt and the front buttons. The lace ruffle effect is due to a petticoat, but it's an idea I will keep in mind. So pretty!
