This year I really
don't have money to spend, and I actually already have
way too many things - and not enough days or occasions to wear them all.. So I am not going to buy anything this fall season and do a good remix of things that are already in my closet
. At least, these are my own guidelines for this season.
But after the moving, and after cleaning his closet and donating to a cat shelter most of his wool sweaters (way too ruined, and not in a cool grungy way as they were eaten by bugs and mostly unrecoverable, sigh!) my fiancée was left with not enough fall/winter garments... And now that Mr.Autumn is finally showing up, my man is going to need at least a couple of new sweaters/cardigans, and warm pants. So here's a dressing room in
his edition!
10 looks that cover all necessities of stay-at-home-writer - not really for a businessman or an office employee. But my fiancée works from home and spends much of his time behind his own desk constantly writing and this wardrobe his mostly for him ;)
All pieces are versatile and can be mixed and remixed - something a man already does - and much more than a woman and with no thinking involved!

Quest'anno non ho tanti soldi da spendere, anzi non ne ho proprio e
in realtà ho già troppe cose - e nemmeno tante occasioni di indossare
tutto.. Quindi mi sa che questo Autunno salto, e non comprerò proprio
nulla. O almeno queste sono le mie intenzioni per questa stagione
invernale.
Però dopo il trasloco, e
dopo aver ripulito l'armadio e donato a un rifugio per gatti molti dei
suoi maglioni (troppo rovinati - e non in maniera figo/grunge ma
mangiati dalle tarme e assolutamente irrecuperabili, sigh!), al mio lui
non rimangono molti vestiti per l'autunno/inverno... E ora che l'Autunno
si è finalmente deciso ad arrivare, avrà sicuramente bisogno almeno di
qualche maglione o cardigan e dei pantaloni pesanti. Allora ecco qua un
camerino virtuale in versione maschile!

look che coprono le necessità di qualcuno che lavora da casa -
probabilmente non adattissime a un manager o un impiegato che va in
ufficio. Ma il mio eterno fidanzo è uno che siede alla scrivania di casa
e scrive scrive scrive, e questo guardaroba è pensato per lui ;)
Tutti
gli indumenti che ho scelto sono versatili e possono essere mixati fra
loro a volontà - cosa che di solito un uomo fa già - e molto di più di
una donna, e senza pensarci troppo!
Ho
usato cardigan più che maglioni perché mi piacciono molto i cardigan da
uomo (e poi sto cercando di convincerlo che sono davvero fighi,
pratici, comodi e versatili).

I have to tell that I also prefer h&m male lines than their females collections... Their male pieces have that right feeling and mix of cooliness and classical that I really like, plus the materials seems not that cheap as in the female department. I notice that expecially when I wash his clothes. I guess it's because men do buy much less than us, and they are not that easy to convince... We women don't care to buy a total polyester dress most of the times, if it's on super sale expecially, and maybe we are never going to use it! But is it that right?
Men
only buy things they need, and only
when they need it.....
I aim to do that as well. But it's impossible! There will always be something too cute to pass by, somewhere, waiting for us to be picked up...
But something can be done. Low down our necessities and avoid to buy
the 10th pair of black shoes if you already have it in all shapes and
heel heights; buy only things you are sure to get much use out of it;
avoid the trendy lines that scream "now" and look at the timeless pieces
instead; don't get tempted by the low price of mid season sales if you
can clearly see flaws, poor tayloring, if the clothes are unflattering
on you or you are pretty sure you are not going to wear it that much or
if you don't have anything to wear with; keep your closet clean and well
organized, mix and match what you aready have and re-discover pretty
things you once loved and maybe forgot about. And get rid of anything
unwanted or doesn't fit any more.
Some are rules I always applied to and I am able to follow, some others, not yet... But I promise to do
all of the above this fall/winter season. Maybe if I write it down
I can do it ! :P
Devo dire che la linea maschile di h&m mi piace molto di più di quella femminile... Gli abiti e accessori maschili hanno quella giusta sensazione e mix di figheria e classicità che mi piace parecchio, e in più i materiali non sembrano tanto scadenti come nel reparto donna. Me ne accorgo soprattutto quando li lavo. Credo sia perché gli uomini comprano molto meno di noi, e non sono tanto facili da convincere... Noi donne la maggior parte delle volte non facciamo caso a un capo completamente in poliestere, soprattutto se è super scontato, e forse non lo useremo neanche mai! Ma è giusto questo?
Gli uomini comprano solo quello di cui hanno bisogno, e soltanto quando ne hanno bisogno.....
Mi piacerebbe fare lo stesso. Ma è praticamente impossibile! Da qualche parte ci sarà sempre qualcosa di troppo carino per lasciar perdere, qualcosa che ci chiede di essere preso e portato a casa...
Però qualcosa si può fare. Ridurre le necessità, per esempio, e evitare di comprare il 10° paio di scarpe nere se si possiedono già in tutte le forme e tacchi di varie altezze; prendere solo cose che si è sicuri di usare e riusare al meglio; evitare le linee che urlano "ora!" e sono troppo di tendenza ma guardare invece ai pezzi senza tempo; non farsi tentare dalle promozioni e dall'offertona del momento se si trovano già dei difetti nel capo, cuciture fatte male, se il capo non cade bene addosso o se siamo quasi sicure di non metterlo mai oppure se non abbiamo già qualcosa da abbinarci; tenere in ordine e guardare bene nel proprio armadio, mixare le cose che già abbiamo e riscoprire anche chicche un po' dimenticate. E liberarsi di tutto ciò che non piace o non va più.
Alcune sono regole che mi sono imposta già da tempo e che riesco bene o male a seguire, altre non ancora... Ma ecco, mi ripropongo di fare tutte queste cose per benino, questo autunno/inverno. Magari se lo metto per iscritto ci riesco ! :P
