Simply trousers

Ebbene sì, il tempo incerto di questa primavera, nonché la necessità di vestirmi alla veloce evitando i soliti vestiti e gonne, mi hanno fatto optare per i pantaloni! Abbinamento davvero inusuale per me, o perlomeno mi ero talmente disabituata ai pantaloni che.. una tantum cambiare fa bene, li ho trovati pratici e comodi (ma è questo modello ad essere molto comodo, e nonostante il fatto che siano scampanati). Devo dire che questa primavera ho mantenuto il proposito di indossare i pantaloni più spesso, e ho messo diverse volte persino i jeans! Ho trovato e infine preso dei bellissimi jeans bootcut, cadono perfetti, sono comodi e li adoro, ne parlerò e ve li mostrerò prossimamente... se riesco a fare due foto (ecco, trovare tempo e voglia di fare foto è diventato un bel problema ultimamente.. anche qui, autoscatti rubati in un parchetto mentre non c'era nessuno -difatti mi sentivo un po' idiota.. e vabbè). 

Yep, this spring's uncertain weather and the urge of getting dressed in an heartbeat but without using skirts and dresses drove me to trousers! Which is totally unusual to me, or at least I lose the habit of wearing pants but changing now and hen is good, and I was totally comfy all day long (this model is quite comfy despite the flare!). I have to say this spring I mantained my promise of wearing pants a little more, I even used jeans quite often! I finally found the perfect bootcut jeans, they are so flattering, comfortable and I am in awe, I am going to talk about it in another post (if I can come up with some pics.. time for shooting has become a problem lately.. even here, self-timer pics stolen in a park while there was nobody around -infact I was feeling like an idiot, oh well).

Verde, verde, verde.. quanto mi piacciono i vestitini verdi! Così l'anno scorso quando ho visto questo scamiciato all'Ovs non ho resistito, doveva entrare a far parte del mio guardaroba anche se non era in programma (segno sempre ciò di cui ho bisogno, anche mentalmente, e in genere mi attengo al piano..), ma data la sua versatilità ha preso possesso in un attimo dell'armadio, e l'ho utilizzato davvero in quantità. Questa volta ho trovato l'abbinamento perfetto con la blusa dal collo peter pan, che è invece un acquisto coi saldi di quest'anno. Basic, eppure con quel tocco in più dovuto al colletto in (finto) cuoio.. era quello che ci voleva per svecchiare alcuni pezzi dell'armadio - come alcune gonne troppo vintage (ma esiste il troppo vintage? :P ) e creare abbinamenti come questo con lo scamiciato e con delle gonne che mi ero stancata di mettere solo con i lupetti.. Quindi un altro acquisto azzeccato. Ormai vado solo a colpo sicuro! Eh sì, perché l'armadio già esplode e non ho proprio bisogno di cose che metterò a malapena - però ogni tanto ci sta anche lo sfizietto, no? Soprattutto quando si dimostra utile! :P

Green green green.. I really love green dresses! So when I found this one last year at Ovs I could not resist and I had to get it into my closet even if it was not programmed (I often take a mental note of what I really need, and I usually follow the plan..), but since its versatility it was a great buy anyway, since a little pinafore is perfect in many different ways. At this time I found the perfect match with this peter pan collar blouse, which I bought on this winter’s sales. Basic but still quirky enough due to the (faux) leather peter pan collar, which drives it from drab to fab. it's great if paired with some vintage skirts, and I have to say it was exactly the piece I needed to mix and match. Another great buy! Hooray to great buys. It's quite important since my wardrobe is already exploding and I actually don't need things I am never going to use. So a great basic with a plus? Score!

inspiration: Trench Coat

Sole, pioggia e vento.. o tutti e tre assieme! Non c'è più la mezza stagione o è proprio questa la mezza stagione? E quindi cosa mettere in Primavera? Il trench!
D'Aprile non ti scoprire, di Maggio non ti fidare, a Giugno fai quel che ti pare, dice l'adagio che mia nonna ripeteva tutti gli anni... e aveva proprio ragione. Se è vero che possiamo mettere via i maglioni e i cappotti più pesanti, è sempre meglio ripararsi dalle intemperie (pioggia e vento improvvisi) e, come tutti consigliano, vestirsi a strati in modo che si possa togliere e mettere all'occorrenza per evitare le escursioni termiche -  e i raffreddori, sempre in agguato (che non si è mai abbastanza coperti, complice, appunto, quel sole ingannevole di Aprile).
Il trench è davvero perfetto in questo periodo dell'anno, soprattutto nella sua colorazione neutra: ci si può anche vestire tutte di nero, ma appena si indossa un bel trench magari abbinato a una sciarpina a fiori o colorata, ecco immediatamente richiamati i colori primaverili in un bell'outfit che non richiede sforzo alcuno. Ed è comodo: abbastanza leggero per il sole primaverile, semplice da togliere e tenere su un braccio se il caldo si fa più forte, ma anche abbastanza pesante da riparare da pioggia e vento (nel secondo caso sempre meglio indossare anche un cardigan o maglione di cotone).
 Il classico trench beige chiama linee pulite ed essenziali, sta benissimo con le righe, col vestitino nero o blu, ma anche con i jeans, con le ballerine, persino con gli stivali da pioggia... ed è un capospalla meno complicato di quel che sembra. Certo, molto meno casual di un giubbetto jeans o della giacca in pelle, ma certamente aggiunge quel je ne sais quoi, quel certo non so che anche al più semplice degli outfit, e se ben dosato, il tocco francese e bon ton è assicurato, ma con l'ombrello e la pioggia ci ricorda anche quello stile un po' inglese che ci piace tanto (mai dimenticare l'ombrello, eh, fate le brave).

It's that time of the year... the time we dig our closets to reach for something good in the rain, lightwear in sunny days but still warm enough when it's windy... so say hail to the trench!
Truth is we can actually say goodbye to knits and warm coats, but there's still need for something that can help us in these mid season times, when it'0s so easy to get a cold.
A trench coat is actually the perfect thing to wear at this time of the year: lightwear in the sun, but still covering us nicely during rainy and windy days (in this second case, it's always better to have a cardigan or a light sweater underneath). And you can even dress in total black, but a nice neutral trench, expecially when paired with a floral print scarf, will drive you to springy outfit with no effort at all.
The classic trench coat calls for nice and polished style, goes really well with stripes, florals, with a little black (or navy) dress, but also with jeans, with ballet flats, and even with rain boots. It's something that adds that little je ne sais quoi touch, that extra something to the simplest outfit, and if well used the french and bon ton touch is granted, but also the english style we love, expecially if paired with an umbrella at rainy days (don't forget the umbrella, lol).

Parliamo di jeans bootcut e flare, o detto in parole povere, dal taglio dritto e a zampa! Insomma, i nostri cari vecchi jeans scampanati...
Per tutte quelle che sono affezionate a questo taglio (che diciamo la verità, sta anche molto bene addosso) e sono stanche di vedere jeans stretti sempre più stretti e ancora più stretti (anche qui diciamo la verità, lo skinny non dona a nessuna!).
Jeans skinny vs jeans bootcut. Chi vincerà? Io già lo so. Perché non ho mai smesso di amare i bootcut/zampa. Perché prima o poi gli skinny passeranno di moda di nuovo, come tutto passa di moda prima o poi, perché si sa, la moda guarda di continuo avanti (e indietro..) e quando tra qualche anno le skinny-dipendenti riguarderanno le foto si accorgeranno di quanto fossero brutti addosso questi jeans, e si diranno: oh mon dieu, ma che razza di jeans portavo in quella foto? :P
Perché, ragazze, è proprio raro che gli skinny stiano davvero bene. Nel migliore dei casi stringendo sotto fanno l'effetto "a imbuto", ed è come se mancasse qualcosa per dare equilibrio...

Let's talk about bootcut jeans, these old and dearest flared jeans!
To everyone of us still loving this cut (which is really flattering too), those who are sick of seeing skinnier stretchier jeans year after year (not a flattering cut at all).
Skinny jeans vs bootcut jeans. Which one is going to win the challenge? I already know, cause in my mind I never ceased loving the bootcut/flared jeans. Cause the skinny are going to be out of fashion again, now or then, since fashion is constantly moving forward (and backward), and when the skinny-addicted are going to look at their pictures from these years they'll be shocked to see how ugly and unflattering these jeans were. Yep, nice and truly flattering skinny jeans are actually rare (or impossible). At their best their skinny cut at the ankles creates that ugly "funnel" effect, like if they're missing something over it (=some boots).
