A Change of Seasons

And finally here we are, short sleeves and stripes season! Well I never actually left back any stripes, not even in winter, but as for a short sleeved striped shirt, it's the first of the season to me, after the striped dress which I got sick with - but it's not its fault, poor thing, and neither is mine as I was fully layered even with my black trench for going out! It's this I-don't-know-what's-going-on-and-how-to-dress season - but wasn't it March, the crazy month? Anyhow it's finally May and without any weather jokes (like, raining for a whole month) we are totally out from this super long awful winter. Just so you know, I really like winter, with its warm knits, coats, boots, I really really enjoy it and love it.. But as it was unusually long this year, I think we have had enough.

E finalmente ci siamo, righe e maniche corte! Beh no in effetti le righe non le abbandono mai neanche d'inverno, ma la maglietta a righe a maniche corte è la prima di stagione, dopo il vestitino a righe con cui mi sono ammalata - ma mica è colpa sua eh porello, e nemmeno mia che mi ero coperta bene, che per uscire portavo anche il trench! E' sto clima che nonsicapisceniente-nonsochecacchiomettere - ma una volta non era Marzo, ad essere pazzerello? Comunque oramai siamo in Maggio e se non ci fa brutti scherzi (tipo pioggia battente per un mese) dai dai che ne siamo fuori, da questo luungo orrido inverno. Oh, sia ben chiaro che l'inverno, con la lana calda, i cappotti, gli stivali, mi piace un sacco.. Però direi che quest'anno ne abbiamo avuto abbastanza, e che è durato troppo a lungo.

Trench coat and... jeans!

Another outfit from this Fall, I actually worn jeans a couple of times during the whole 3 months season! I'm getting better, non? ;)
The trench coat has to be my favourite outerwear, maybe just because it's a mid-season jacket and I love mid-season climate - for the weather of course, and even for the fallen leaves and blossoms.. So, I try use it as much as I can, until it's too cold - or too warm for it.
Unfortunately this one is so clear it gets dirty quite fast for an everyday basic use, and even tho it was not the most expensive trench coat out there (Burberry, anyone?), I still take care of it - and professional dry clean DO cost a lot, I could almost buy me a whole new trench coat in just two washes, lol! If you like trench coats, take the advice and get at least two of them: one in a dark colour like black, navy, brown or khaki as for an everyday basic; the other one in the classic beige/camel, it goes with everything and it's a must have!

Un altro outfit da questo Autunno, ho addirittura messo i jeans un paio di volte durante tutti tre mesi della stagione! Sto migliorando, no? eh? ;)
Credo che il trench sia la mia giacca preferita in assoluto, forse proprio perché è da mezza stagione e amo la mezza stagione - certamente per il clima, e anche per le foglie cadute e i fiorellini e bla bla bla.. Insomma cerco di usarlo il più possibile, finché non si gela - o non si scoppia di caldo..
Sfortunatamente però questo è così chiaro che si sporca piuttosto facilmente se usato tutti i giorni, e anche se non è che sia il cappottino più costoso del mondo (Burberry, ne vogliamo parlare?), me ne prendo cura lo stesso, e le lavanderie costano un sacco, talmente tanto che solo con un paio di lavaggi mi vado quasi a ripagare un trench nuovo! Se vi piacciono i trench consiglio di averne almeno due: uno in un colore scuro come nero, blu o marrone o verde militare da usare come basic per tutti i giorni; l'altro nel classico beige/cammello, che va con tutto ed è un vero must have!
