From Dress to Skirt

Another outfit from last week, after the sore throat and finally having my voice back.. So turtleneck shirt and scarf were a must, even tho temperature are rising we got rain every couple of days (we even had a whirlwind over here just a few days ago!), so to me it's better not taking risks, expecially after drinking a whole bottle of cough syrup in a few days! Which was good enough to make me feel better, but it ain't cheap, so it's better healing to me, since I spent most of the winter with bronchitis, and being sick in May it's not a chance! So that's why I am always bundled up and layered. There will be the time for bare legs, but it's still not that time to me. And after a couple of beautiful weather days, on Sunday we got back to big storms, dark and noisy as if it was the end of the world! Ew.

This skirt was actually a dress, I bought at my local market three years ago, at a stand which had some super pretty floral dresses, I wanted them all! But the cut was weird, too high waist sitting at the ribcage, and too much cleavage shown, and the hemming was way too high for my taste, combined with a full skirt.. So the only way was to wear it was with a shirt underneath and some opaque tights. Plus the high waist was not really flattering me, I was looking like a grown-in-the-dress girl, so I was wearing as a skirt anyway, tucking the straps inside the skirt. So this year I decided to finally cut it off, and I have to say I really like it as a skirt! And since it's has a decent lenght now, I will be able to wear it with bare legs too. I am happy I went from an hideous cut dress to a well loved skirt. :)

I got this suede bag from many years and I like to still carry it on, I love crossbody bags and this one is very soft, easy wearing and handy, it carries a lot of things. I bought it at a second hand shop like ten years ago, paying just a few euros for it. Sometimes second hand shops are full of treasures, you just need a little bit of patience and curiosity, and to go often back for a look. Well, I am not going as often as I used to in the past, but sometimes I still go back there, expecially when I am at my hometown which offers many more hoarding of  treasures and it's less known as the markets in Bologna.
I beg you pardon for the usual boots I'm wearing, but the weather still calls for boots and not for pumps or ballet flats, so that's it - and then they are so comfy I would never take them off! :D

And so I cut my bangs again. I did it by myself since I no longer go to the hairstylist after "disasters" they did on my own head, and since they seem to be obsessed with scissors, cutting 10cm of hair every time with the excuse of split ends.. Throwing to waste all the time I spend letting my hair to grow. So if you are an hairstylist please don't feel offended, but you won't see me at anytime soon. I want my hair to grow! :D
This time I am well satisfied by the result, I am finally learning how to cut my own hair. Now I am just waiting for the weather to be good enough to not styling them anymore either. I love natural wavy hair! But just in Summer, since if I don't style and straighten my hair during Winter, with all that humidity, you could exchange me for a frightened hedgehog and not for a sweet bon ton maiden... Yep, I have wavy fuzzy crispy hair, but in Summer they magically go back to their natural wave form and after some time without styling I get back my curls too.
So please Late Spring show up! Let us be delighted by your joys and lovely weather, and don't let that Dreadful Summer Heat take over you!

Viva i capelli ribelli!
E allora su, forza, Primavera Inoltrata, fatti vedere!
