This pic with four kittens peeping from the barn door truly reminds me of my kittens when they were fluffy and cute and crazy as these above!
There were four of them: Leoncino, Lupino, Patrizio & Nerina. The four kittens of my beloved mommy-cat Bella (daughter of my other beloved cat Micia). Four little terrors running around the house, up and down on the stairs, jumping everywhere, catching any animated or inanimated object, curiously exploring here and there, putting everything in trouble, making everything fall... And that fell asleep all together in a fluffy group of kittens!
It broke my heart, but I had to give away two of them. But I know they went to special loving families, so I think they're having an happy life. My idea was to keep just the female kitty cat as I was deeply in love with her (and I still am, and vice versa!) and since the ginger was already choosen to be adopted by another cat loving family as the two other brothers... BUT. We were too in love with him as well to give it away! We kept both, Patrizio & Nerina (whose name slowly turned into Mimì!), and we couldn't be more happy. Two is better than just one!
When my Bella started to refuse her kittens (as they always do, to make them grow well), she got back at my mom's place in my country village, and she coulnd't be more happy to be back at her own place. She now has an happy cat life and I see and cuddle her when I go back in hometown!. While Patrizio & Mimì still do crazy cat things, play together, run around the house, and sleep over me at night. Normal cat routine! :D
Oh well, yes, now I got to show you what they looked like when they were kittens. Ready?
Questa bella foto, con i quattro gattini che sbirciano dalla porta della fattoria, mi ricorda tanto i miei micetti quando erano piccoli, morbidosi, carini e pazzerelli come questi!
Erano in quattro: Leoncino, Lupino, Patrizio & Nerina. I quattro gattini della mia adorata mamma-gatta Bella (figlia della mia amata Micia). Quattro piccoli terremoti che correvano per tutta la casa, andando su e giù per le scale del soppalco, saltando ovunque e facendo agguati a qualsiasi oggetto animato o inanimato, che esploravano curiosi di qua e di là, combinando dei guai, e facendo cadere di tutto... E che si addormentavano uno accanto all'altro, in un grande mucchio batuffoloso. <3
Ho dovuto dar via due di loro, cosa che mi ha spezzato il cuore.. Ma so che sono stati presi da persone veramente amanti dei gatti, quindi credo che stiano facendo una bella vita da gatto (qualche tempo fa mi è capitato di incontrare il padroncino di Leoncino, che mi ha fatto vedere una sua foto.. Proprio un bel gattone felice!). La mia idea era di tenere soltanto la gattina femmina perché ero già profondamente innamorata di lei (e lo sono ancora.. ricambiata!), e anche perché, oltre ai due bianchi/beige, anche il gatto rosso era stato scelto per essere adottato da un'altra persona... MA. Ormai eravamo troppo, troppo innamorati di lui per pensare di darlo via! Abbiamo tenuto entrambi, sia Patrizio che Nerina (il cui nome si è pian piano trasformato in Mimì!), e abbiamo fatto benissimo. Due sono meglio di uno solo!
Quando Bella ha iniziato a rifiutare i suoi cuccioli (come fanno tutte le mamme-gatte, per rendere indipendenti i micetti), l'ho riportata a casa da mia mamma, al paesello in campagna.. e non avrebbe potuto essere più contenta di così! Le mancava casa sua. Adesso fa una bella vita da gatta (dormendo quasi sempre) e la vedo e me la spupazzo quando torno a casa giù. Mentre Patrizio e Mimì fanno ancora i pazzi assieme, giocano, si rincorrono e di notte mi dormono ovviamente addosso. Normale routine da gatto! :D
Okappa, è giusto, ora devo mostrarveli quando erano piccoli.. soprattutto se avte letto tutto fin qui.. (scusate la qualità, ma sono vecchie foto analogiche riconvertite-in-non-so-che-modo a digitale, tanto tempo fa..)
