Anna Sui - Fall-Winter 2013/14

Non guardo quasi mai sfilate, presentazioni &co, non ne ho proprio l'abitudine, ma qualche sera fa sono finita per caso a spulciare tra le sfilate vecchie e nuove di Anna Sui... e questa collezione autunnale è stata per me una folgorazione! Tantissime cose che adoro, a partire alle scarpette mary jane e col laccetto alla caviglia, tutte con tacco basso quadrato o rasoterra.. e i colori che amo, dal verde all'arancio, dal blu al bordeaux, e tessuti e fantasie, ma soprattutto il taglio degli abiti decisamente anni 60 (che si ispirava a sua volta al taglio a vita bassa anni 20!). La collezione si intitola appunto Nouvelle Vague, e si ispira proprio ai film di Jean-Luc Godard e François Truffaut e alle loro protagoniste e attrici, Anna Karina su tutte. Un gioco di rimandi molto riuscito -  e a tutto colore! Proprio quello che ci vuole in queste lunghe giornate invernali.

I am not quite used to watch catwalks and fashion shows, but a few days back I stumbled upon Anna Sui's old and new catwalks.. And I was completely astounished by the AW13/14 collection! There's a lot of things I adore, starting from the lovely mary janes and t-bar strap shoes, and then the colors I love, from green to orange, from blue to burgundy, and oh so 60s prints, fabrics and expecially the cut on those dresses,  (inspired by the 20s low waist!). The collection is in fact named Nouvelle Vague, inspired by Jean-Luc Godard and François Truffaut movies and their female characters and actresses, expecially Anna Karina. A well played game of inspirations - and oh so colorful! Just what we need in these gloomy days of Winter.

Erano secoli che non pubblicavo un nuovo set su Polyvore così, tanto per! Un tempo, prima del blog, ero sempre lì a divertirmi a fare dei set, e non solo per creare outfit.. Era più una questione artistica, grafica. Ora invece mi ritrovo con un sacco di set lasciati nelle bozze da uno-due anni, e nessuna voglia di terminarli. Questo vede la luce per caso o quasi, perchè ho una gonnellina così e mi son divertita a creare un po' di outfit differenti con cose che più o meno ho già - e altre che mi piacerebbe vedere apparire magicamente! Comunque tutte cosine che mi piacciono tantissimo. Qual'è la vostra preferita?

It was literally ages I didn't publish a new set on Polyvore just for fun! There was a time, before the blog, I was always around there creating new sets, and not just for outfits, it was something.. artistic, involving graphics. Now I find I have tons of sets in drafts left behind from one-two years, with no time to accomplish them. This one sees the light because I have a skirt just like this one and I had some fun creating some outfits to go with it with similar garments and accessories that are already part of my wardrobe, or with things I'd really love to magically see in my closet! In any case, those are all pretty things I really love. Which one is your favourite?
