Siamo ormai alla fine dell'Autunno, e c'è un vero tripudio di turbinii di foglie là fuori, mentre gli alberi hanno ormai perso quasi tutto il fogliame. 
I gatti non si lasciano sfuggire l'occasione di annusare un po' quest'aria sottile e fredda, giocare con le foglie o farci un bel sonnellino sopra nei rari giorni soleggiati dall'aria frizzante. 
Ho le tre tipologie gattesche in casa: Mimì è tutto il giorno sul terrazzo ad osservare gli uccellini e godersi l'arietta fresca, la miciona Bella si è creata un bel nido in cui dormire fra le foglie in giardino, e il giovane, vivace e baldanzoso Bartolomiao gioca tutto il giorno con chiunque e qualunque cosa! 
A proposito, l'abbiamo praticamente adottato... (parlavo di questo bel gatto rosso in questo post!)
Perchè adesso, a piccole dosi,  inizia anche ad entrare in casa - e indovinate dove si dirige appena infila il naso nella porta? Verso il cibo e verso il divano con l'umano che si rilassa... ma quanto gioca! Avevo dimenticato quanto i gatti così giovani potessero aver voglia di giocare di continuo :D

I got all those three categories at my place: Mimi's spents the whole day on the balcony looking at the birds and sniffing the cold air, Bella settled up a foliage nest where to sleep in the garden, and the young and brisk Bartolomeow spends his time playing with anything!
Well, we actually almost adopted him... (I was talking about this ginger cat in this post)
Since now he's starting getting into our home - and guess where does he go when he gets his nose in? Of course to food and towards the sofa with the relaxing human over it.... And how much does he play? I forgot how many time do young cats spend playing! :D

E Novembre è arrivato e Novembre è già quasi andato! Mi chiedo quanto passi in fretta il tempo? Intanto dopo un inizio incerto anche l'Autunno è qui, e ha portato con sè le piogge, il vento che scuote gli alberi e il freddo vero, ma anche qualche bella giornata soleggiata col cielo limpido e azzurro - però che freddo! Brrr!

Betina Lou - Fall-Winter 13/14 collection

Aaah, quanto amo i lookbook di Betina Lou! Questo dell'Autunno/Inverno in corso non fa eccezione: molto sobrio e ispirato al vintage classico, fatto di pezzi che si possono facilmente mescolare fra loro, sempre molto semplici, dalle linee pulite ed essenziali, colori basic.. eppure mai banali, molto chic, cose carine e portabilissime, e nell'insieme dei look molto facili da copiare. Poiché si tratta di un marchio canadese non proprio economicissimo e ovviamente un po' troppo lontano (penso sempre alle spese di dogana), la vedo molto dura procurarsi esattamente queste cose.. Ma come al solito, lasciamoci ispirare!
Perchè lo so che abbiamo tutte voglia di Primavera, ma dobbiamo ricordarci che non è proprio dietro l'angolo (checchè ne dicano ai tg in cui ci mostrano gente che fa il bagno al mare..) perché siamo ancora in febbraio e tutto è possibile, bufere di neve comprese (vedi gli ultimi due anni e facciamo le corna..), ma so benissimo che questo è anche il momento in cui siamo più stufe del guardaroba invernale che sembra tutti i giorni uguale (almeno per me è così), iniziamo così a guardare le cosine primaverili, sospirando su fiorellini e vestiti pastello, e sbagliamo, perché abbiamo ancora bisogno di vestirci tutti i giorni con le temperature rigide e abbiamo bisogno di trovare un po' di ispirazione per adesso, magari sperimentando anche cose diverse. Febbraio è sempre stato un po' il mese più creativo per me, perché stufa di vestirmi sempre uguale vado finalmente a spulciare fra le cose che metto di meno, trovando chicche dimenticate - oppure in genere è il momento in cui trovo super occasioni di vestitini invernali al mercato, così sono a posto per un altro po' - e metto anche le mani avanti per l'inverno sucessivo :D
Questo lookbook mi ispira parecchio, trovo questo modo di vestire molto vicino al mio, e mi ricorda anche che quest'anno non ho praticamente mai messo le gonne scozzesi - ha qualcosa a che vedere col fatto che quest'anno erano ovunque e così di moda, lo so.. perché le amo tanto e ne ho una discreta collezione e non mi spiego come sia potuto accadere! Ma non è ancora troppo tardi :)

Vintage inspired, simple and chic, essential cuts and neat, basic colors... But still cute, chic, wearable and simple and inspirational - so let's get some inspiration!
Yep, I know we all long for Spring, but it's still not time yet, since it's february and everything could happen (see the past couple of years) blizzards included (fingers crossed for not!). But I also know this is the very moment we feel oh so sick of our winter wardrobe which always look the same , and we start lusting pretty dresses, pastel colors and light fabrics and we are so wrong doing this, since it's a long way to spring and we still need to get dressed everyday for freezing temperatures (well, it's getting better, but still..). February has always been the experimenting month to me, since when I am sick of always wearing the same things I go digging my closet for hidden tresures - or it usually is the time I find warm winter dresses at my local market, so I am alright for a little more time - and I look forward getting some new thing for the next winter season.
This lookbook actually is quite inspirational to me, it's really close to how I like to dress myself, and it also reminds me I didn't really used my tartan skirts at this time - it has something to do with the fact they were everywhere and oh so trendy this year, I know.. since I really love it and I have quite a collection, so I really don't know how that could happen. But it's not too late yet. :)

Bordeaux & Mustard

Una giornata soleggiata ma ventosa, tant'è che ho provato a fare qualche foto in strada e poi son rientrata - niente da fare, col freddo non si scampa alle foto in interni.
Era da tanto che volevo fare l'abbinamento bordeaux-giallo, finalmente ci sono riuscita e devo dire che mi garba, sono due colori che mi piacciono molto da soli e si abbinano molto bene fra loro, completandosi a vicenda. Il tutto tenuto assieme da trench e accessori neri, che vanno sempre bene (e perché non mi sognerei mai di strafare con i colori!)

A sunny and windy day, hence I tried to take some pics outdoor but I quickly got back home, as it was too cold and you can't escape from indoor pics in winter.
 I wanted to try the bordeaux-mustard combo from a long time and finally here we go, I have to say I really like this color combo, those are two really nice colors and a match made in heaven. All put together by a trench coat and all black accessories (as I'd never ever overdo with colors!)

Francesismi d'Autunno

Oh ciao, foto autunnali, mi sembrano passati secoli da quando si poteva mettere giusto una giacchetta in pelle e invece era solo l'altroieri, mentre ieri ho terminato il lungo processo di cambio guardaroba autunno/inverno: con questo freddo polare era giunta ormai l'ora di tirar fuori i vestitini di lana e i maglioni più pesanti. E si andrà avanti and imbacuccarsi pesantemente per i prossimi mesi.
L'Autunno invece, come non amarlo! Basta poco per sentirsi a posto, una gonnella, una giacchetta, e un bel berretto che dona subito quell'aria un po' francese, mais oui.

Oh Hi autumnal pics, it seems like a thousand days ago since we could only wear a leather jacket and go, while yesterday I finished pulling out the latest wintery stuff from my boxes and putting it back in my closet: lately we have under-zero temperatures and it was about time for knitted dresses and cable knit jumpers to get back. It's that great layering time of the year.
Fall instead, what's not to love about its light layering! You just need a few things to feel ok and go: a skirt, a jacket, and a nice beret, which also gives that french touch, mais oui.

My November in Shots

Eccoci al secondo (almeno per me) appuntamento con il mese condensato per immagini, questo mese la host è Lisa di Shabby Passion ;)
Questo è stato per me un mese un po' balordo, passato quasi sempre chiusa in casa, almeno nella prima parte, perché dovevo consegnare una traduzione (molto sottopagata) e non riuscivo a finirla (essendo un lavoro sottopagato l'ho preso proprio sottogamba, e per questo motivo mi ha tenuta impegnata più del dovuto! Mai più!)
In generale ho avuto meno tempo del mese scorso per fare belle foto fuori (e diciamolo, con questo freddo.. anche meno voglia!). Quindi.. tante foto in casa, ma anche qualche giretto e qualche scorcio bolognese, vestitini, cibo cibooo... E... Vi lascio alle foto :)

This month was dreadful to me, I spent it mostly indoors due to a job I had to finish and to the freezing weather of course.
I had less time to shot some nice pics, and again, the freezing weather is not helping at all! But there still are some town views, and then some daily routine, food, nice dresses and so on.. Let's go :)

Ditsy Dress Autumnized

Avevo promesso questo vestitino (visto qui e qui) anche in versione autunnale ed eccolo qua :)
Cardigan leggero (e magliettina sotto al vestito), calze e mary janes per il giorno, giacca in pelle e stivaletti verso sera, 2 outfit in 1. Qui non era ancora così freddo però. Le temperature si sono abbassate così repentinamente che all'improvviso è già ora di tirare fuori il piumino - e non ho nemmeno ancora mai messo il cappotto!
Comunque no, non sono diventata rossa tutto assieme, è solo un effetto speciale della luce sole! :)

I promised this dress (as seen here and here) in a Fall version and there it is :)
A light cardi (and an extra layer shirt underneath the dress), tights, mary janes for daytime, leather jacket and booties with the evening chill, 2 outfits in 1. It was still not that cold like now though. Temperatures has dropped down so fast that it's suddenly time for padded jackets - and I haven't worn my coats just yet!
And nope, I am not suddenly a redhead (even thou I'd like to) but it's just the sunrays special effect. :)

Era da tanto che non andavo seriamente su Polyvore, e pensare che un tempo ci passavo le serate, a fare set mettendo dentro vestitini e orpelli, e come mi divertivo! In questi giorni però ho ripreso la "frequentazione" perché stavo completando un post che uscirà a breve si spera (su consigli su come vestirsi per la discussione di tesi, un post che è ormai in ballo da mesi, aargh, non scherzo) e mi servivano quei due-tre set che avevo iniziato a preparare tempo fa per illustrarlo. Quindi ho dato un'occhiata ai miei drafts (ovvero le bozze), e... 35+ pagine di set non finiti e mai pubblicati!
Troppi, troppi set rimasti lì in attesa di tocchi finali che non sono mai arrivati. E allora sapete che vi dico? Che mi son messa a pubblicarli lo stesso, così come sono, almeno quelli un po' più recenti e interessanti. Son partita da questi quattro preparati l'anno scorso quando cercavo dei pantaloni, per trovare gli abbinamenti giusti. Che ne dite? Non porto quasi mai pantaloni e jeans, però così abbinati mi piacciono, e poi l'anno scorso finalmente ne ho trovati alcuni che mi stanno bene (trovare pantaloni giusti è veramente difficile, se non quasi impossibile!) e quindi ho ricominciato a metterli, qualche volta. 
Anche se preferisco quelli larghi in fondo e i bootcut, non disdegno quelli stretti ma mi piacciono in un modo e uno soltanto: solo se infilati rigorosamente dentro agli stivali. Per il resto gli skinny non li sopporto (e i leggings non sono pantaloni).

It has been a long time no seen with Polyvore, but I got back making some new sets since I was preparing a long post which is due o next days and I needed to publish some set to illustrate it, so I went in my drafts.. and found 35+ pages of never finished and  sets! wow. Way too many never published sets, so I decided to start publishing as is, at least the latest and more interesting ones. I started with these I created last year while I was looking for some pants. I don't usually wear pants as I think it's quite hard to find the perfect pair! But last year I finally found some I like and so I started wearing it again, some times. I still prefer wide leg and bootcut, but I also like skinnies only if worn tucked in boots. I regret any other use of skinnies (and leggings are not pants).

Black is black is black

Perché il nero è sempre nero e va sempre bene. Prendete questo vestitino: ce l'ho da quasi 10 anni ed è sempre attuale. Molto pratico, di maglina e con le maniche lunghe, è perfetto in questo periodo dell'anno. La fantasia discreta, non proprio un pois ma nemmeno troppo astratta lo rende sempre attuale proprio perché non è mai alla moda! Un bel machissene e una bella pernacchia sull'essere alla moda! Bisogna mettere le cose che ci piacciono e che ci fanno sentire bene. Anche se sono abitini di quasi dieci anni fa (ma qualcuno se n'è accorto poi? :P ). Io poi mi sento molto più a mio agio con i vestitini, per questo ne cerco sempre di nuovi - e riutilizzo quelli vecchi.

Since black is alway black and it's always good. Take this dress as an example: I got it from almost ten years and it's still good to go. Practical, made of jersey and with long sleeves, it's perfect for this time of the year. The discreet  print (more subtle than it appears in photo) makes it current at anytime since it's never actually on fashion! But who really cares about fashion? We should wear what we really like and make us feel good. Even if they're old dresses from many years back (but did anyone really noticed it?)

Foxy Lady

Finalmente ho portato questa borsina con la volpe a fare un giro fuori, e influenzata dai colori dell'Autunno ho finito per indossare tutto in tinta con la volpe, anche una gonna arancio...

I finally brought this cute foxy bag out for a walk, and influenced by Fall colors I put on this orange vintage skirt as well, matchy match I'd say.

Seconda puntata di gatti e foglie. Ho trovato talmente tante immagini straordinarie di gatti autunnali che ne manderò in onda anche una terza! Per fortuna l'autunno è lungo ed è appena cominciato...

Transitional Tower Town

Una bella e lunga passeggiata in città durante le giornate pedonali del weekend - i cosiddetti T-Days (altra T che sta per... beh, il percorso pedonale tra via Indipendenza, Via Ugo Bassi e via Rizzoli ha la forma di una T, che fantasia (sarcasmo). Una giornata splendida e calda, anche se i primi venti autunnali facevano già capolino in Settembre. 
E difatti si tratta di outfit settembrino - il che significa che sono ancora indietro con i post... Fine Settembre in verità, ma come è volato questo mese! Dal prossimo post di outfit arriva l'Autunno vero e le sue sovrapposizioni, promesso. Intanto avevo già cominciato qui, con magliettina sotto al vestito e camicia jeans sopra. Il tutto a costo quasi pari allo zero: questo è un vestitino della mia adolescenza (eh già, arriva proprio da quegli stessi anni 90 che sono tanto di moda adesso..), già visto qui in versione estiva, tornato attualissimo con le fantasie floreali più recenti, i cosiddetti dark florals che si vedono ovunque in questa stagione (non che mi dispiaccia.. anzi, sto facendo scorta di nuovi fiorellini!), mentre la camicia è thrifted, ovvero proveniente dai famosi mucchi al mercato, pagata solo 1€. Si può essere anche trendy e gggiovani spendendo niente, soprattutto quando i trend sono trend del passato che tornano in auge. :D

A nice and long walk in town during one of those pedestrian weekends called T-Days in my town - since the pedestrial path between the streets resembles a T.. what a great imagination (sarcasm). It was a really nice and warm day, even tho the first winds of Autumn were already showing off.
And as a matter of fact its a transitional outfit from September - which means I am still behind with outfit posts. But I promise Fall and its layering will be up and running from next outfit post. Aye! I already started seasonal layering here, with a tee underneath the dress and a denim shirt on top of it. This whole outfit costed me almost like zero, since this floral dress is quite old and coming from my teen days back then (yep, the infamous nineties.. which are back on trend), already seen here in a summery version, back on fashion with those super trendy dark florals we are seeing everywhere this season (not that I dislike it, oh no, with the floral craze I am stocking up new florals as well!), while the denim shirt was thrifted and bought for just 1€.
You can be on trend even if penniless, expecially when those trends are old trends back on fashion. :D

Cats and Pumpkins

My October in Shots

E' il primo mese che partecipo all'iniziativa di Eugenia di My New Old Life e sono proprio contenta di farlo! E' un modo davvero carino di raccontarsi. Ho deciso un po' all'ultimo quindi ho messo assieme il post un po' di corsa, e perdonatemi per la qualità (e i soggetti) di alcune foto, però in fondo è proprio questo lo scopo: raccontare le proprie giornate attraverso un'immagine. Ecco quindi il mio Ottobre, uno dei mesi dell'anno che amo di più :)

It's the first time I participate to Eugenia's initiative over at My New Old Life, and I am quite happy to be part of it! It's really a nice way to tell about our everyday life. This is the purpose indeed: telling about our month through a picture a day. So here's my October, which is one of my favourite months of the year as well.

Finally some lovely Autumn days, sunny and colorful and beautiful. I am back at my hometown in the countryside and this morning we went harvesting chestnuts and we found some mushrooms as well.
Also cats love Fall: they love it when the cold comes and they are safe indoor, they love to stay with us or nearby a fireplace when the weather is dreadful. But they also love those beautiful sunny days and they like to play with fallen leaves and smell the scent of autumn feeling.

Finalmente delle belle giornate autunnali, piene di luce e colori mervigliosi. In questi giorni sono al paesello in campagna e stamattina siamo andate a raccogliere le castagne e abbiamo trovato anche un po' di funghi profumatissimi.
Anche i mici amano l'arrivo dell'Autunno: adorano stare in casa al calduccio quando fuori c'è brutto tempo, spalmarsi addosso a noi o sui termosifoni o accanto al caminetto, ma quelli che hanno la possibilità di stare anche all'aria aperta amano anche queste belle giornate e si godono il sole e giocano con le foglie cadute annusando l'odore d'autunno.

Little Black Dress: check

Alright, instead of getting better the weather is getting worse, right into the heart of Autumn! On saturday we got a scary storm, and it was like being on a late November.. Even tho the calendar is telling us we are at the end of May we got to keep an eye on what's going on out there, and getting dressed for the weather. So, boots, tights, long sleeves, layering are still here to stay, as well as experimenting since light dresses are not an option yet, but we are tired to wear the same winter things over and over, non?
So here's something I got on my mind from sime time now without ever trying it, but I saw it around in the blogosphere and I like this idea of a shirt under a dress, as if it was a pinafore, and then I never know what to wear with this shirt since plaid shirts are not really my thing - and so why would you buy it, you might ask? But exactly for this purpose: experimenting! I like its feature of dressing down everything its paired with. And you don't have to be afraid of experimenting. And then last year I got me a blue red & white checkered shirt I really loved to pair with my blue things, so I looked for another one on a different color combo, to wear with anything but the usual jeans (which are actually unusual to me).

No vabbè, il tempo invece di migliorare diventa sempre più instabile e autunnale! Sabato sembrava proprio fine Novembre, con un temporale spaventoso!! E nonostante il calendario ci dica che siamo quasi in Giugno, bisogna adattarsi di conseguenza. Ancora calze, ancora manche lunghe, ancora vestirsi a cipolla e ancora sperimentare perché i vestitini estivi non si possono ancora mettere e siamo un po' stanche di portare ancora e sempre le stesse cose invernali, no?!
Ecco qindi qualcosa che avevo in mente da un po' senza averlo mai effettivamente provato, ma l'ho visto in giro per blog e l'idea della camicia sotto al vestitino mi piace, in più questa camicia, nonostante sia versatile, non so mai come metterla, perché le camicie a quadri non sono tanto il mio genere - e che le compri a fare allora mi chiederete? Ma proprio per sperimentare e provare qualcosa di diverso dal solito ma senza esagerare! Mi piace la sua caratteristica di rendere un po' più sportiva qualsiasi cosa, e spesso ho proprio bisogno di questo, nel mio armadio un po' troppo perfettino. Ma non bisogna aver paura di sperimentare. E poi l'anno scorso avevo preso una camicia a quadri blu bianca e rossa che mi son goduta con la gonna blu, e ne ho voluta prendere un'altra che stesse bene con altri colori e altri abbinamenti, al di là dei soliti jeans (in realtà per me decisamente insoliti).

From Dress to Skirt

Another outfit from last week, after the sore throat and finally having my voice back.. So turtleneck shirt and scarf were a must, even tho temperature are rising we got rain every couple of days (we even had a whirlwind over here just a few days ago!), so to me it's better not taking risks, expecially after drinking a whole bottle of cough syrup in a few days! Which was good enough to make me feel better, but it ain't cheap, so it's better healing to me, since I spent most of the winter with bronchitis, and being sick in May it's not a chance! So that's why I am always bundled up and layered. There will be the time for bare legs, but it's still not that time to me. And after a couple of beautiful weather days, on Sunday we got back to big storms, dark and noisy as if it was the end of the world! Ew.

Un altro outfit della settimana scorsa, appena uscita dal mal di gola e riacquistata la voce.. Quindi collo alto e sciarpina d'obbligo, anche se le temperature salgono qua piove ogni due giorni (persino una tromba d'aria su questa regione!), quindi meglio non rischiare, dopo aver fatto fuori una bottiglia intera di Grintuss in pochi giorni! Devo dire che funziona egregiamente, ma non è affatto economico, quindi meglio guarire, anche perché ho passato buona parte dell'inverno con la bronchite, ed essere ancora ammalata in Maggio mi fa una certa rabbia! Ecco spiegato perché mi copro ancora così tanto. Verrà il tempo delle gambe nude e braccia scoperte, ma non è ancora arrivato, per me. E dopo un paio di bellissime giornate piene di luce, come volevasi dimostrare domenica abbiamo avuto un temporalone coi fiocchi e i cumulonembi, tutto buio come fosse la fine del mondo. Acci. 
E per dire, anche oggi ha piovuto di nuovo. -_- 

A Change of Seasons

And finally here we are, short sleeves and stripes season! Well I never actually left back any stripes, not even in winter, but as for a short sleeved striped shirt, it's the first of the season to me, after the striped dress which I got sick with - but it's not its fault, poor thing, and neither is mine as I was fully layered even with my black trench for going out! It's this I-don't-know-what's-going-on-and-how-to-dress season - but wasn't it March, the crazy month? Anyhow it's finally May and without any weather jokes (like, raining for a whole month) we are totally out from this super long awful winter. Just so you know, I really like winter, with its warm knits, coats, boots, I really really enjoy it and love it.. But as it was unusually long this year, I think we have had enough.

E finalmente ci siamo, righe e maniche corte! Beh no in effetti le righe non le abbandono mai neanche d'inverno, ma la maglietta a righe a maniche corte è la prima di stagione, dopo il vestitino a righe con cui mi sono ammalata - ma mica è colpa sua eh porello, e nemmeno mia che mi ero coperta bene, che per uscire portavo anche il trench! E' sto clima che nonsicapisceniente-nonsochecacchiomettere - ma una volta non era Marzo, ad essere pazzerello? Comunque oramai siamo in Maggio e se non ci fa brutti scherzi (tipo pioggia battente per un mese) dai dai che ne siamo fuori, da questo luungo orrido inverno. Oh, sia ben chiaro che l'inverno, con la lana calda, i cappotti, gli stivali, mi piace un sacco.. Però direi che quest'anno ne abbiamo avuto abbastanza, e che è durato troppo a lungo.

Back to Black (and stripes)

A simple and effortless outfit in black, great for gloomy days (I tend to dress as the weather!). The skirt is a fav, quite simple, not too tight and it has pockets! The shirt is a thrift find, for just a couple of euros. I love stripes, and the sequins flower makes it really unique. There's just I couple of things I don't really like: the large sleeves (that I should sew to make it tight) and the neck, quite large expecially to me, as I always feel the cold on my neck! So I have to use a scarf with it for going out. Below in the post you will see a going-out version with scarf and jacket and I shifted the ballet flats for practical boots, which makes it even more casual.

Un outfit semplice, ed essendo tutto sul nero, messo assieme anche senza troppo sforzo, perfetto per i giorni grigi nella mezza stagione (perché tendo a vestirmi come il tempo!). La gonna è una delle mie preferite, semplicissima e non troppo stretta, ed ha le tasche! La maglietta a righe è una delle cose trovate nei soliti mucchi al mercato, per un paio d'euro.. Le righe mi piacciono tantissimo, se non si fosse capito :D e in più c'è questo decoro in paillettes che la rende speciale. Ha solo due difetti: le maniche troppo "a campana" (ma pensavo di stringerle un po') e lo scollo veramente largo, che per me che soffro il freddo sul collo non è proprio l'ideale.. Quindi per uscire metto sempre una sciarpetta. Più sotto potete vedere una seconda versione con sciarpa e giacca in (simil)pelle e ho anche messo gli stivali al posto delle ballerine, per rendere l'insieme ancora più casual, e un po' più caldo, essendo piuttosto freschino..
